Hand Painted Mini Bag-Bas Eik Cup

When I painted this piece, I was thinking about how many conversations begin with tea.

Some of my favorite memories seem to start the same way. Someone putting the kettle on. A quick visit turning into hours. Family gathered around a table. Friends catching up long after the tea has gone cold.

Growing up, chai was never just a drink. It was an invitation to stay a little longer.

Featuring a hand painted glass of chai and a Tapal tea bag, this piece is inspired by the rituals, conversations, and everyday moments that quietly become part of who we are.

Bas Eik Cup is part of the Nishan Collectible Series, a growing collection of hand painted pieces inspired by cultural memory, nostalgia, and the objects that make a place feel like home.
