Collection: Kahani

Kahani is an ongoing collection by Nishan, exploring the many fragments that make up a woman’s story.

Each 5x5 painting captures a small, intimate moment of a woman adorned: jewelry catching the light, getting dressed up for no reason, feeling beautiful, taking up space, and simply being extra.

Because there is something universal about the way a woman feels when she is dressed up and confident. Across cultures, traditions, and generations, adornment can be a celebration of identity, beauty, self-expression, and the joy of being a woman.

These paintings are fragments of that feeling. Little pieces of a larger kahani, a story that belongs to every woman.
