Commissions

Nishan offers a limited number of custom commissions throughout the year.

Whether you’re looking for a hand-painted accessory, original artwork, or a custom piece inspired by a favorite object, photograph, product, or personal idea, each commission is created by hand in Nishan’s signature painterly style and designed to be a one-of-a-kind piece.

What to Include in Your Inquiry

Please provide:
    •    A brief description of what you would like commissioned
    •    Any reference photos or inspiration images
    •    Preferred item type (coin purse, bag, original artwork, etc.)
    •    Desired size or dimensions
    •    Your ideal timeline
    •    Any additional details you would like incorporated into the piece

Commission Process
    1.    Submit your inquiry with as much detail as possible.
    2.    I will review the project and confirm availability.
    3.    Pricing, timeline, and project details will be discussed prior to acceptance.
    4.    Once details are approved, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your commission.
    5.    Work will begin once the deposit has been received.
    6.    Upon completion, you will receive photographs of the finished piece.
    7.    The remaining balance must be paid in full before shipment.
    8.    Once final payment has been received, your commission will be carefully packaged and shipped.

Commission Policy

Availability

Commission availability is limited and accepted on a case-by-case basis. Submission of an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance of a commission.

Nishan reserves the right to decline any commission request for any reason, including projects that are not a good fit for the brand’s artistic style, scope, timeline, or workload.

Pricing

Commission pricing is determined by several factors, including:
    •    Size
    •    Materials
    •    Surface or product type
    •    Level of detail
    •    Complexity of the subject matter
    •    Time required to complete the piece

Pricing will be discussed and approved before work begins.

Deposits & Payments

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure all commissions.

No work will begin until the deposit has been received.

The remaining balance is due upon completion and prior to shipment.

Failure to submit final payment within 14 days of completion may result in cancellation of the commission and forfeiture of the deposit.

Revisions & Changes

Clients are encouraged to provide clear reference materials and project details at the beginning of the process.

Minor adjustments may be accommodated when reasonable.

Requests for significant design changes, subject changes, additional elements, or major revisions after approval of the project may result in additional charges and extended production timelines.

Timeline

Completion times vary depending on project complexity, current workload, and material availability.

Estimated completion dates are provided as a guideline and are not guaranteed.

Nishan is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside of reasonable control, including shipping carrier delays, supply shortages, weather events, or unforeseen personal emergencies.

Shipping

Shipping costs, when applicable, will be communicated prior to final payment.

Once a package has been shipped and tracking information has been provided, Nishan is not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages, customs delays, or delivery issues beyond the artist’s control.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Due to the custom nature of commissioned artwork, all commission sales are final.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Completed commissions are non-refundable and non-returnable.

If a client chooses to cancel a commission after work has begun, all payments made up to that point will be forfeited.

Artistic Rights

Nishan retains all copyright, reproduction, and commercial rights to all commissioned artwork unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Purchasing a commission does not transfer copyright ownership or permission to reproduce, distribute, sell, license, publish, or commercially use the artwork.

The artist reserves the right to photograph, share, display, and promote commissioned work on the Nishan website, social media channels, portfolio, marketing materials, and future promotional content.
